Jenn-Hook

Jenn Hook, MA | Founder and Executive Director

Jenn received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. She previously worked as a trauma therapist for children and adolescents in foster care. She speaks frequently on topics related to adoption and foster care support, mental health, and trauma. She is the author of Replanted: Faith-Based Support for Foster and Adoptive Families, and Thriving Families: A Trauma-informed Guidebook for the Foster and Adoptive Journey. She lives in Dallas, TX with her husband Josh and 2 children.

Eric Powell | Conference Director

Eric Powell is married to his wonderful wife, Diana, father to two kids who joined his family through international adoption from Thailand. He loves spicy food, playing piano, and going on dates with Diana. Replanted has been an incredible blessing to his family in the journey of parenting and he hopes to bring that encouragement and impact to even more families through the Replanted Conference and beyond.

Jackie Jakacki | Conference Assistant

Jackie Jakacki is a mother of two biological girls and one internationally adopted son who span 17 months between them and keep her on her toes. Jackie is a current Masters of Social Work student through Indiana Wesleyan to be more equipped as a social worker for adoptive families. Jackie has ten years of casework and social service experience and is excited to be serving adoptive, foster care, kinship care and Safe Families parents through her work with the Replanted Conference.

Amy Cope | Groups Coordinator

Amy Cope has been the Director of Early Childhood Ministries at CrossLife Evangelical Free Church for the last five years and loves working with both children and volunteers. She enjoys supporting and encouraging others to pursue in faith and trust what God has called them to do. She runs the mentor program for the Replanted small group that her church launched this past year. She has 4 children ranging in age from 10-17 and has been married to her husband Bryan for 18 years. She lives in Grayslake IL.

Megan Williams | Groups Coordinator

Megan Williams lives with her husband (Joey), three sons, and golden doodle in Wylie TX.  She has been a portrait and wedding photographer for the last 12 years and served in her local church as a groups leader, teacher, and leader for the last 14 years.  Megan also runs an annual camp supporting middle school aged children/teens. As an adoptive mom herself, she is excited to join the Replanted team and is passionate about serving the adoption and foster community! Megan also loves a good dance party and great conversations over really good food!

Kim Hansen | Accountant

Kim Hansen is a Certified Public Accountant and mother to two biological adult children and three internationally adopted daughters who were born in China.  She is also Mimi to four young grandchildren ranging in age from 10 months through 7 years.  Kim has enjoyed working with non profit organizations over the past several years and prior to that in corporate finance and public accounting.  Kim's passion in ministry and vocation is to help serve children and families involved in adoption and foster care.

Christie Otts | Board Member

Christie is a mom of four, including an adopted daughter from Cameroon. She has been a part of Replanted Ministry leadership team from its beginning days and is passionate about seeing adoptive and foster families loved and supported. As a pastor’s wife, she is also passionate about engaging the local Church in the work of orphan care in every community.

Jason Johnson | Board Member

Jason is a writer and speaker who encourages families and equips churches in their foster care and adoption journeys. He currently serves as the Director of Church Ministry Initiatives with The Christian Alliance for Orphans. In his work he speaks at conferences, workshops and various other events as well as coaches and consults with church and organizational leaders and teams. Jason and his wife, Emily live in Texas with their daughters. He has authored 3 books: Reframing Foster Care, Everyone Can do Something, and ALL IN Orphan Care and he blogs regularly at www.jasonjohnsonblog.com.

Brandy Leyva | Board Member

Brandy Leyva is a wife, mother, small business owner and adoptee. Originally born in South Korea, Brandy was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and now calls Dallas, Texas home. Brandy shares her story as a transracial adoptee with transparency. She is an advocate for the value of support for both children through adoption and foster care and their families.

Stephanie Kirk| Board Member

Stephanie is an experienced non-profit fundraising professional. She has built robust giving programs for some of the largest non-profits in the country including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Los Angeles Mission and North Texas Food Bank. With hundreds of millions of dollars raised non-profits, she takes her clients’ mission to heart, drawing inspiration from what they do each day.
